Spring is in bloom and cherry blossoms are the epitome of fresh spring scenes in Anime. Come revel in the beauty of sakura blossom trees, and paint a scene to keep them in bloom all year round.
You will be taken step-by-step together to paint a landscape that features cherry blossom trees. We will be focusing on the atmosphere of landscapes, where we present trees as a whole (think pink fluffy trees) rather than individual blossoms.
This workshop uses an acrylic paints on canvas or canvas panels (about 11x14 inches). All materials will be provided so you'll only have to bring a date or friends for maximum fun. When finished, you will take your painting with you while we collect all the supplies for future use.
You are encouraged to take lots of pictures throughout the process and tag @makarathachsernett and @otakuloungelou when posting to social media. You may be featured in our stories and feed.
Otaku Manga Lounge will have Asian themed snacks and drinks available for purchase throughout the event. There are no steps at this facility, and is accessible for those with mobility concerns. Staff will be able to assist you to your seat and direct you to restrooms as needed.
